📊 SchoolStatus is Making School-Home Engagement Easier
October 11, 2024. In September, the SchoolStatus team released several updates designed to improve engagement data and logging capabilities.
- Announcement Delivery Data in SchoolStatus Connect. We’ve launched the ability to see the status of recipients of an announcement in SchoolStatus Connect. Now when you click the Delivery Data button on any announcement you will see if the announcement was Delivered, Failed, Skipped, or Opened. This allows you to quickly assess if you have accurate contact information and the reach of any announcement you send.
- Engagement Log Attachments in SchoolStatus Connect. When adding a manual note to the engagement log for any student, educators and admins can now add supporting attachments. Using the buttons on the bottom of the entry field you can add embedded attachments from Google Drive, a YouTube link or upload from a computer.
- Missing Guardian Information Alert in SchoolStatus Attend. With the rollout of digital notifications the SchoolStatus Attend dashboard will now alert you if contact information is missing for a guardian. You will also be able to filter by “Missing Guardian Contact Info” to quickly assess which entries need updates. And you can now easily suppress a digital notification from sending if you do not have accurate information.
🎢 SchoolStatus is Now Better Than Ever with Improvements to Our Core Products
September 3, 2024. In August, the SchoolStatus team released several updates designed to make the platform more effective and easy to use than ever before—just in time for the back-to-school season.
- Next Steps for Growth in SchoolStatus Boost. We’ve made it easier for instructional coaches and leaders to give meaningful, actionable feedback to teachers and staff via SchoolStatus Boost. Coaches can assign educators next steps that ladder up to their growth areas and overall coaching framework. Plus, coaches can attach resources (like district guidelines, training resources, or other valuable growth tools) to an educator’s next steps, so they have a head start on achieving their next goals.
- Replying to Announcements via SMS in SchoolStatus Connect. Families who use SchoolStatus Connect can now reply directly to Announcements sent from their child’s district, school, or classroom teacher by sending an SMS text. Educators will receive replies to Announcements as a 1:1 message, so educators can answer family questions in a private chat. With this update, families will have an easier time responding and staying engaged with important school updates.
- New Digital Campaign Program in SchoolStatus Attend. We’ve launched a pilot program for SchoolStatus Attend that will help to improve student attendance outcomes via digital only, positive messaging campaigns.
📢 New Communication Features in SchoolStatus Connect
July 31, 2024. We’ve made several exciting updates to SchoolStatus Connect and SchoolStatus Boost that will help staff and educators keep families informed about what’s happening at school.
- Multi-School Announcements. District leaders can now make announcements to multiple schools at once. Announcements can be segmented to specific groups across multiple schools. This update makes it much easier to spread the word about important district-wide updates for families, students, and educators.
- Return Calling. Families can now call back when they miss a call from their child’s teacher via SchoolStatus Connect. Return calls are sent to a voicemail, which is added to the family’s Conversation with the teacher.
- Multi-School Students. SchoolStatus Connect now makes it easier to reach families whose student is enrolled in multiple schools within the district.
- Visual Improvements. We’ve made improvements throughout SchoolStatus Connect to make it easier to operate within the platform.
- SchoolStatus Boost Accessibility Improvements. We’ve also made updates to SchoolStatus Boost to make the platform more accessible and easier to use.
